This is just a quick note, and there is hopefully more coming on this topic. A friend of mine was able to order his second Raspberry Pi and was so kind to sell it to me. Now it is up and running, updating itself currently. I figured that (at least with the Arch linux image) a screen and keyboard is not needed, it leases the IP address automatically and starts sshd. So just plug it in and connect it to the network and you can ssh on it. Here is a picture, just to make you jealous.

Danke nochmal.

I am hellie jellie. I just bought one but it’ll take up to 12 weeks to ship. How do you like yours?

I got my 2nd one a couple of days ago. I’m working on my thesis atm. and don’t have any spare time for the stuff. I also don’t know what to do with it yet. :)

I got mine a few weeks ago, and finally have some spare time to start it up! Are you currently using it for anything? I’m not 100% sure what I want to use it for yet.

Do you know about this? http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/freshers/raspberrypi/tutorials/os/

Maybe this summer if I have some free time I will look into it.
